A delegation from the Slovenian Armed Forces led by their Commander Brigadier General Milko Petek paid a working visit to the General Staff of ARM and had a meeting with the Chief of General Staff of ARM Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski.
At the meeting the Generals discussed about possibilities for promoting mutual cooperation in conducting joint exercises, and planned activities of both armies. It was stressed that good cooperation between ARM and the Slovenian Army is important not only for bilateral relations, but also for strengthening the stability of the region.
Within today’s visit, a meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of ARM was held, where the support for Macedonian strategy was emphasized, as well as Macedonian role in building security and stability of the region.
Earlier, General Petek had a meeting with Defense Minister Radmila Shekerinska.
Good long-term cooperation between Macedonian and Slovenian armies in the field of training and joint exercises has been especially strong in the field of anti-aircraft defense.
